I’m David Vyborny, a first-generation American, immigration attorney, and someone who has lived the immigration experience firsthand.
Immigration is an important part of my life. My parents fled Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic) in 1968 during a time of political upheaval. They left behind everything familiar to start over, making their way through several countries—including France, Germany, Austria, and the UK—before settling in Canada, where I was born.
When I was three, we moved to the United States on my parents' business visa. Since then, I’ve navigated many visa processes, experiencing firsthand the challenges and opportunities that come with building a new life in a new country. In 2022, after decades of immigration paperwork, waiting, and determination, I proudly became a U.S. citizen.
This journey taught me not just the legal steps of immigration but also the human side: the hopes, sacrifices, and resilience it takes to start anew.
My Mission
I created The Immigration Coach to help others navigate the immigration process with confidence and clarity. Immigration is more than just forms and legal jargon—it’s about people pursuing opportunities, reuniting with family, and building better futures. My goal is to break down complex topics into practical, understandable guidance that empowers you to achieve your version of the American dream.
Why I Do This
Immigration has been part of my family’s identity for generations, and it’s been a defining part of my own journey. That connection gives me a unique perspective on the challenges people face—and the joy that comes with achieving their goals.
I don’t believe in overcomplicating things. My approach is simple: take the complex and make it accessible. I work to deliver clear, engaging information with empathy, because I know how overwhelming and isolating this process can feel.
